MOT

When a vehicle is three years or older it is legally required to have an MOT every year. This is a test devised by the Ministry of Transport to ensure your vehicle meets the minimum safety requirements.

Here at A1 Tyres and Exhausts, we are authorised and approved by the government body called VOSA (Vehicle and Operator Services Agency) to conduct MOT tests on vehicle requiring them. Following a comprehensive list of checks on your vehicle, which takes around one hour to conduct, we would issue a certificate once the vehicle passes all the checks.

Remember, it is your responsibility to ensure you car has a valid MOT. This only lasts for 12 months, and without a valid MOT it is illegal to drive the vehicle on the road.
Also its worth noting that as stated on your certificate, you are allowed to have your vehicle presented for its MOT up to 28 days before its expiry date. Any days from this date to expiry will be added on to your MOT. So its possible to have an MOT that lasts up to 13 months.
